About

Inspired by the large-scale motion of the seven tectonic plates of the world, Tectonic is a residential building in the city of Surat, Gujarat, India.

Featuring 46 apartments of studio, two & three bedroom, and duplex types, Tectonic follows the concept of modern and elemental architecture, and hints at the idea of biomimicry in theory. 

The brief held a rather broad idea of an apartment which felt like an independent house to live in! Sun-decks, multiple community-terrace gardens for socialising, elemental structure, and a unique view of the outside to admire from every home were a few attributes to this design development.
